About Executive Advocates

Tia McCoun of Harleysville, Pa., is president and owner of Executive Advocates, LLC and has been “building business by building community” with community and faith-based organizations, authors, publishers, colleges, and small to medium sized businesses. Through event planning, business and development strategy and collaborative pilot projects, growing business for the sake of community betterment is the driving vision for Executive Advocates.

McCoun has worked with executives, volunteer and development teams, communication departments, and business managers to find new market channels, increase donations and revenue streams, to establish partners with outside organizations and to establish strategies that will strengthen existing networks. Her specific area of expertise and interest include pilot projects and helping clients find and establish strategic alliances. She facilitates or manages multi-organization and multi-cultural projects and collaborations. Involvement with the Upper Darby Community Outreach Corporation, a 10th Anniversary of the Peers Encouraging Peers After School program with featured speaker Stedman Graham, a Chicagoland Chinese Lutheran Youth Weekend Retreat, a 31 church worship project for a Decatur (GA) Cooperative Ministry, a Templeton Foundation Celebration for Archibald Wheeler’s 100th Birthday (including “A list” Physics faculty from around the globe), a four author signing event in Harlem, New York, a health related 1K-5K Run and Family Festival are among the list of Executive Advocates’ non profit projects. Executive Advocates has recently expanded into the for profit corporate sector to include an innovative Philadelphia insurance company and a new seminar program for a Bucks County resident. Building on her background, McCoun is starting “Talk It Up!”, motivational talks for sales teams and fundraising groups.

McCoun’s professional experience also includes appointments at National Ministries, ABC-USA as Director of Development, Eastern College, St. Davids, PA., as assistant director of enrollment at the School of Professional Studies and as graduate admissions representative for business programs in the School of International Leadership Development and the School for Social Change. She has managed the Lutheran School of Theology Book Store and served Gloria Dei Church in Huntington Valley, PA., as associate director of youth ministry. Additionally, she recently started LOTSODOTS, LLC a retail organization selling “bold accents for you and your home.”

Born into a family of entrepreneurs, McCoun holds a master of divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, N.J., and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Lafayette College, Easton, PA. She is a member of the Women’s Referral Network in Montgomery County, a member of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Greater North Penn Collaborative for Health and Human Services. She resides in Harleysville, PA with her husband and son. She also has two step teenagers.
